About the work

"インスピレーションは全ての美しいもの。地球に宿る美。"

石や大地などの無機物から自然、生命のエネルギーなど全ての美しいものを絵画として表現する。現実に存在するものをモチーフとしながら、対象そのものを描くのではなく、その対象が内包している美を映し出すことに集中して作品が構成されている。

創作にあたって影響を受ているのはアボリジナルアート、民藝、アルテ・ポーヴェラなどの表現。また、伝統的な絵画、特に日本美術にも強く影響を受けている。長谷川等伯や尾形光琳の琳派など日本美術に脈々と受け継がれてきた美の表現とその精神を尊敬し、用いる技法は異なっているが、日本人の持つ美への感性とそれを追及する姿勢をこの時代において継承したいという意思があり創作している。

技法、スタイルにはこだわらず。対象を表現するのに最適なあらゆる可能性を模索する。水彩、アクリル、色鉛筆、インク、墨、接着剤、コラージュ、半立体など全ての画材や素材のもつ可能性を生かして創作をしている。作品によってデジタル表現も取り入れる。

ライフワークとして取り組んでいる「One Small One」シリーズは1000枚を超える連作となる予定で製作中。１枚１枚は小さな紙片に描かれた即興の絵画の欠片ともいえる小作品群であり、それらが連なることで集合体となりひとつの世界を構成し、この世界が内包している多面的な美しさを表現することをテーマとした作品である。

He expresses all beautiful things in his paintings, from inorganic substances such as stones and earth to nature and the energy of life. While using things that exist in reality as motifs, rather than depicting the objects themselves, the works are composed by concentrating on reflecting the beauty contained in the objects.

Aboriginal art, folk art, arte povera, and other forms of expression have influenced his creation. He is also strongly influenced by traditional paintings, especially Japanese art. Respect the expression and spirit of beauty that has been handed down from generation to generation in Japanese art such as Tohaku Hasegawa and Korin Ogata. I continue my creative activities with the desire to inherit in this era.

Regardless of technique or style. Explore every possibility that best expresses the object. He creates works by making full use of the possibilities of all painting materials and materials such as watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, inks, sumi, adhesives, collages, and semi-solids. Depending on the work, digital expressions are also incorporated.

The "One Small One" series, which I am working on as my life work, is scheduled to be a series of more than 1000 pieces and is currently in production. Each piece is a group of small works that can be called fragments of improvised paintings drawn on small pieces of paper. It is a work with the theme of expressing uniqueness. ​
